The primary goal of these centers is to remove non-academic barriers to learning as a means to enhance student academic success. Such barriers might include clothing, basic needs, dental or medical issues, parent education, or a variety of other things.
Each center offers a unique blend of programs and services determined by the needs of the population being served, available resources, location and other local characteristics.
Each Public School in Laurel County has a FRYSC. Reach out to your child’s school for more information about the services provided by their center.
